Hedda,  a newly-wed returns from her Honeymoon with George Tesman an Academic. Hedda has married for convenience and society standing rather than love. Things quickly take a turn when her ex-lover, a brilliant writer, appears with a book putting ex-lover and husband  in competition with each other. We then see the manipulative Hedda take action. However, events take a turn resulting in her taking drastic action. Has the manipulator become the manipulated?
